Community Engagement
offering support to not for profits and national charities with access to the public.
At St James Dover, we believe our space is more than bricks, mortar, and retail – it's a hub for community life. That's why we're proud to support a wide range of local organisations, charities, and cultural initiatives by offering free space for pop-ups, exhibitions, health campaigns and more.
We're here to make a difference - whether that's helping people access vital services, celebrating Dover's rich heritage, or shining a light on creativity in our town.

Future Foundry – Winter Light Up
We've provided storage and access space for the incredible light installations created as part of Future Foundry's Winter Light Up, a project that brightens the town each winter with stunning community-made displays. Large pieces are safely stored at St James for easy access and future use.
NHS Health Pop-Ups
Working with the NHS, we regularly host health check stations within the centre - offering free advice, blood pressure checks, and general wellbeing support to our visitors. It's all part of our commitment to making healthy living more accessible.

Dover Transport Museum
We've welcomed Dover Transport Museum to St James with pop-up exhibits that celebrate the vehicles, tools, and transport history of our area. It's a brilliant way to bring local heritage to life right in the centre of town.
Cervia Trust
We've proudly supported the Cervia Steam Tug Trust, helping raise awareness of the restoration efforts around the historic steam tug Cervia, a key part of Dover's maritime legacy.

Royal British Legion – Poppy Appeal
Each year, we provide space for the Poppy Appeal, supporting veterans and active service members through the vital work of the Royal British Legion. It's an honour to be a small part of this national tradition.
Barclays Community Van
We regularly welcome the Barclays Community Van to St James, providing essential banking services and financial advice to our local community. This mobile service ensures that banking remains accessible to everyone, particularly those who might find it difficult to visit a traditional branch.

Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)
Being so close to the sea, we understand the real impact of the RNLI mission – saving lives at sea, supporting coastal communities, and offering help when it's needed most.
That's why we're proud to host the RNLI at St James Dover, giving the charity space to raise vital funds and awareness for the lifesaving work they do around our shores.
Got a Community Project?
We're always open to hearing from local groups, charities, and creatives who could benefit from free space in the centre. If you've got an initiative that could make a positive impact in Dover, we'd love to chat.
